HALF MOON DRIVE-IN DINER GETS UV UPGRADE, MB
The Half Moon, a diner in Lockport, Manitoba, 28 km north of Winnipeg, was issued a BWA on October 16, when coliform bacteria was detected in its drinking water.
"It was a very low parts," says Wayne McIntosh, Half Moon's 'top dog'. But we're fixing it. We've purchased a new $2,000 UV system and until it's hooked up we're only using pre-packaged food and not serving any food that needs washing."
According to McIntosh, there has been a lot construction around lately and heavy rains have battered the area. When asked, he said he had 30 parking spots in the front and 170 in the back.
According to its website, the Half Moon, home of Canada's best hot dogs, has been serving good food and great times since 1938.
