MORDEN, MB: RESIDENTS ADVISED TO STOCK UP ON TAP WATER AHEAD OF WATER REPAIRS
This story is brought to you in part by MUTS -Multi-Use Trailer System
Residents of the Loren Drive East area in Morden, MB are under a Boil Water Advisory (BWA) as the city installs some new equipment the evening of May 30.
"There's a new business starting up and we're tying into the water main", explained Les Wieler, Director of Public Works.
"The work will be in the evening to try and minimize the disruption. Usually it's a couple of hours. We don't have an actual time as unforseeables sometimes come up," Wieler explained, adding the existing equipment is fairly new.
Instead of buying bottled water the city advises area residents to store tap water in clean containers for drinking and to fill their bathtubs with water to use for flushing the toilet.
"We anticipate water test results by June 6 and unless otherwise notified you can begin normal water use after that time", the city advised in the BWA.
