DAYCARE UNDER DO NOT CONSUME ADVISORY AGAIN, QC
Forty-four children between the ages of 0 and 5 are under a do not consume water advisory in a daycare in Saint-Georges, QC. La Maison des Papillons was notified of the advisory on February 4.
"They never tell us why," says Assistant-Director, Dorothée Bilodeau. "We only give the children bottled water to drink anyway, but now we have to use it to cook as well."
"I find it happens quite often," she says. "It's a nuisance because we can't use tap water to boil the nipples or prepare food"
The daycare building is managed by Pomerleau, a large Quebec-based contracting and construction management company. When we contacted them about this advisory and about the previous one in May 2014, they were mostly bewildered that they had anything to do with a daycare, let alone a water advisory. They did not get back to us then or now.
