SPRING RUN OFF TRIGGERS BWA IN ARCOLA, SK
The Saskatchewan water security agency issued a boil water advisoy for arcola on March 14,due to a deterioration of the source water quality rendering the water treatment facility incapable of providing the required level of treatment.
"It's because of the spring run-off," says town clerk Joan. "It happens every year."
Then, thinking better of it declined to provide any further details. "this is all I will tell you," she said before hanging up.
Arcola is home to 649 people, it has no website. It is located in southeast Saskatchewan, about 50 km east and north of Estevan. In 2003, Arcola celebrated its 100th anniversary, marking the fact that it predates the province by two years. Mitchell's Who Has Seen the Wind.
