Saskatchewan Advisory Map

In Saskatchewan, a Do Not Use Advisory is in effect for the Hamlet of Piapot due to possible contamination from an unknown substance following a break-in at the water treatment plant; the advisory was jointly issued by the Water Security Agency and RM of Piapot. PDWAs were issued to a portion of the Town of Moosomin due to a watermain break, Village of Manor due to valve repairs, and to the Village of Prudhomme due to elevated turbidity in the treated water reservoir. A previously issued First Nation BWA to James Smith Cree Public Water System was rescinded.

In Moose Jaw, a significant watermain break was reported yesterday; repairs to the break were hampered by extreme cold, and further complicated by water from the break having flowed into the City's sewer system whereby affecting multiple properties. At this point, no drinking water advisories have been issued in connection with this event and repairs are ongoing.

In Ontario, a long-term BWA was lifted for Lac Seul First Nation; the advisory was issued in Feb 2003 and was officially lifted by Indigenous Services Canada on Jan 7, 2020, following completion of a new water treatment plant.
