Erickson
Type:
Boil Water
-
Inactive
Issued: 6/12/2017
Details:
The Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) would like to remind water users that the WATER QUALITY ADVISORY issued on July 29th, 2016
remains in effect for the ERICKSON Water System as a precautionary measure.
Water sampling of the Erickson open treated water storage reservoir indicates the continued presence of low
levels of Coliform and e.Coli bacteria.
Water sampling in the distribution system, including the nearest residence, indicates that
water quality is good at the time and location of testing.
The Arrow Creek Water Treatment Plant operates 24-hours a day and water in the distribution system is
blended with a small amount of water from the open storage reservoir during periods of high water demand.
This blended water appears to have good chlorine residual which should result in bacteriological disinfection.
The Water Quality Advisory does not apply to the Town of Creston as chlorine residuals are good entering the Town supply
and there is good chlorine contact time for disinfection to all Town customers.
