BURDOCK COVE – Water Quality: Approximately 17,600 salmon died at a fish farming site on Newfoundland's south coast. The cause is being attributed to a period of increased water temperatures in association with decreased oxygen levels. The incident happened on July 20 and was reported on Monday July 29 to the Newfoundland Aquaculture Industry Association.
