Newfoundland and Labrador Advisory Map
In Newfoundland and Labrador, in yesterday's wrap-up we reported that water line repairs were occurring in Happy
Valley-Goose Bay and that although no drinking water advisory had been issued, it was likely that one would be issued upon
completion of the repairs. Today that BWA is in effect, applying to a number of residences on one street. A BWA was issued
to Baie-Verte-Southern Arm Pond due to the distribution system undergoing maintenance or repairs. A previously issued BWA
was lifted for Port au Port West Aguathuna. On Fogo Island, repairs to a water main leak are occurring today in the community
of Tilting, and residents have been advised they may experience low water pressure or discolored water which may continue after
the repairs are complete. However no drinking water advisory was issued.
Saskatchewan Advisory Map
In Saskatchewan, in Cudworth, a PDWA was issued to two blocks due to depressurization required to repair a service
connection. This was the second PDWA issued in as many days in Cudworth; the previous advisory, still in effect, applies to several
streets only and was issued due to a water main break. PDWAs were also issued to Jans Bay Waterworks due to a power outage
resulting in system pressure loss, Town of Spiritwood also due to a power outage resulting in system pressure loss, Clearwater
Lake Regional Park due to seasonal startup of waterworks, one block of Industrial Drive, in RM Sherwood No. 159, Regina North
Industrial Subdivision, due to a water main break. The City of Prince Albert issued a DWA to one street due to a service repair.
In Naicam, residents have been asked to reduce water usage due to sewer line repairs, however no drinking water advisory was issued
in connection with the repair work.
Nova Scotia Advisory Map
In Nova Scotia, a BWA was issued to Chippin Dales Takeout (CBRM County), reason not stated.
Manitoba Advisory Map
In Manitoba, BWAs were issued to Wabowden Public Water System and to Rock Lake Hospital, Semi-Public System. Advisory
causes were not stated however both are categorized as short term.
British Columbia Advisory Map
In British Columbia, Vancouver Island Health Authority issued a BWN to Saltwest Naturals (Sooke). The cause seems to be
an ongoing investigation, with the remedy steps being to issue a BWN, re-sample, and if positive for E. coli, shock chlorinate
the well, re-sample.
