EAST SOOKE (Wilderness Mountain Water System) – BWN issued March 20 due to high turbidity in the Wilfred Reservoir. WATER QUALITY - Wilfred Reservoir raw water supply exhibits elevated IRON and MANGANESE concentrations throughout the entire year. During seasonal events (lake turnover or rain-driven runoff) MANGANESE concentrations have exceeded the MAC. Currently, there is no designated treatment in place to remove these metals from the raw water. This system has 73 connections.
MAYNE ISLAND Resort – WQA issued March 23 due to chemical and/or physical water quality parameters in excess of GCDWQ.
PEACHLAND (Camp Okanagan Resort WS) - WQA issued march 23 due to distribution system integrity failure; Advisory limited to part of system.
POWELL RIVER (Gunther Drive Water System) – WQA issued March 23 due to the absence of Bacteriological Sampling; samples have not been submitted since June 2021.
POWELL RIVER (Higgins Inn Water System) – BWN issued March 23 due to the absence of Bacteriological Sampling; samples have not been submitted since June 2017 and previous sampling has indicated the presence of total coliforms.
POWELL RIVER (Rosemary Lane Water System) – WQA issued March 21 due to Bacteriological Sampling in 2025 did not meet the frequency requirements specified in Schedule B of the Drinking Water Protection Regulation. Permit conditions require monthly sampling during the operating season; from the one sample collected last year Bacteriological Sampling results met the potability standards specified in Schedule A of the Drinking Water Protection Regulation.
POWELL RIVER (Stillwater Dryland Sort) – WQA issued March 23 due to the absence of recent bacteriological sampling, resulting in insufficient data to confirm that the water is potable.
