EDGEWATER (Spur Valley Water System) – BWN issued May 19 due to a line repair.

COLDSTREAM (Greater Vernon Water)– WQA was in effect May 19 to 21.

KAMLOOPS Municipal Water System – All water advisories issued for east Kamloops neighbourhoods in the wake of a broken water main have now been rescinded as of May 21st.
The City of Kamloops has attributed the delay in lifting the DNC advisory in the Barnhartvale’s Area to processing time to complete water quality testing; the Area is in close proximity to agricultural and industrial areas and testing in locations under a ‘do not consume’ advisory, due to the possibility of contaminates from these land uses, is more specialized and rigorous, and fewer service providers are equipped to perform this type of analysis, which contributes to longer processing times.

LISTER Water System – BWA was in effect May 7 to 21 for a line repair.

On May 1, the DNC was lifted on the building’s cold-water supply, however LEAD can still be detected in the hot-water supply; LEAD concentration was measured at 20 per cent above Canada Guidelines.
The source of the LEAD contamination has been attributed to the installation of new water tanks; LEAD was not detected in the building’s water supply prior to the installation.

The Municipality announces the lifting of the boil water advisory issued 3 years ago due to enterococcus bacterial contamination of the drinking water well that supplies the Saint-Urbain School and neighboring social housing complex consisting of 10 apartments. This contamination is attributed to the heavy rains that hit the region in July 2023. The water quality test results can take several days after the water is turned on.
When water lines are depressurized, sedimentation may occur within the lines. Following the restoration of water service, residents should run taps for at least 5 minutes to clear any discoloration, particles or excess chlorine from their water lines.
