NAHANNI BUTTE – WQA LIFTED. This advisory was originally issued as a precaution due to high levels of manganese detected in the community’s drinking water July 16. A new filtration system has been installed, and manganese levels are now below Canadian guidelines. However, manganese may have built-up in home water tanks. The Department of Health and Social Services recommends that residents and businesses flush and clean their water tanks.
