Ontario Drinking water owner and operators fined $12,800 for Safe Drinking Water Act violations
The Corporation of the Township of Woolwich was convicted for failing to report adverse water quality readings
- The Corporation was convicted of one violation under the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), fined $10,000 plus a victim fine surcharge (VFS) of $2,500, and given 120 days to pay.
- Certified drinking water operator, Daniel Lang ,was convicted of one violation under the SDWA, fined $1,600 plus a VFS of $400, and given 30 days to pay.
- Responsible operator, Michael Kelley was convicted of one violation under the SDWA, fined $1,200 plus a VFS of $300, and given 120 days to pay.
