LES CÈDRES (secteur Lucerne)
La municipalité informe les résidents que le propriétaire légal de l'infrastructure privée d'eau et d'égouts desservant la région de Lucerne, Service 2015 Inc., a confirmé l'abandon de ces infrastructures le 6 décembre 2025, en raison de l'état de santé de son président et des importantes difficultés financières liées à l'entretien et à l'exploitation des réseaux.
À court terme, la municipalité a été autorisée par le MELCCFP (Ministère de l'Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs) à prendre en charge l'exploitation de ces infrastructures afin d'assurer la continuité des services et la protection de la santé publique.
Une solution permanente est en cours d'élaboration; Des discussions et des études sont en cours avec les autorités ministérielles afin d'élaborer un plan d'action structuré. Le MELCCFP est actuellement en discussion avec le MAMH (ministère des Affaires municipales et de l'Habitation) afin d'accélérer l'analyse et l'allocation de l'aide financière pour la construction d'une station de pompage destinée à remplacer la station d'épuration existante. La possibilité d'une participation permanente de la municipalité à l'exploitation des infrastructures est actuellement étudiée avec le MELCCFP.
The Municipality informs residents that Service 2015 Inc., the legal owner of the Private Water and Sewer Infrastructure serving the Lucerne area, has confirmed the abandonment of these infrastructures on December 6, 2025, due to the health of its president and the significant financial challenges related to the maintenance and operation of the networks.
In the short-term, the Municipality has been authorized by the MELCCFP (Ministry of the Environment, the Fight Against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks) to assume operations of these infrastructures to ensure continuity of services and protection of public health.
A permanent solution is in progress; Discussions and studies are underway with ministerial authorities to develop a structured action plan. The MELCCFP is currently in discussions with the MAMH (Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing) to expedite the analysis and allocation of financial assistance for the construction of a pumping station to replace the existing treatment plant. The Municipality's potential permanent involvement in infrastructure operations is currently being studied with the MELCCFP (Ministry of the Environment, the Fight Against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks).
