WATER ADVISORY WRAP-UP

Ontario Advisory Map
In Ontario, a BWA was issued to a portion of the Town of Smooth Rock Falls, however the advisory reason was not stated.
A First Nation drinking water advisory for Anishnaabeg of Naongashiing-Big Island Public Water System was categorized as a
long-term advisory on February 15th. A long term advisory is one that has been in effect for over 12 months. According to ISC
(Indigenous Services Canada): "The advisory was put in place in February 2019 based on an engineering assessment that
determined the current water treatment plant does not meet the minimum treatment requirements. With support from ISC, the
First Nation is in the process of hiring a qualified design consultant for the upgrades to the existing facility that will
resolve this issue."
Saskatchewan Advisory Map
In Saskatchewan, PDWAs were issued to portions of 3 streets in the Town of Fort QuAppelle due to depressurization caused
by watermain repairs, a portion of the Town of Outlook due to a watermain break, Rudy Landing Development (in Outlook) due to
depressurization of the water pipeline necessary for repairs within the Town of Outlook, Hamlet of Edgeley due to reservoir
cleaning, Maryfield Waterworks due to a watermain break.
Québec Advisory Map
In Québec, a BWA was issued to one street in Baie Comeau following an aqueduct break, while in the Mirabel-en-haut
Sector of Mirabel, a limited BWA was issued, reason not stated. A previously issued BWA was rescinded in Saint-Damien-de-Buckland
as well as in Macamic. In Saint-Lazare this morning, emergency repairs for a leak forced closure of one street (Saint-Louis St),
however, at this time no drinking water advisory has been issued. In Île-Perrot, water was interrupted to residences of
one street (8th Ave) on Feb 24th for emergency repairs to the aqueduct, however, no drinking water advisory was issued.
Manitoba Advisory Map
In Manitoba, a BWA was issued to Shady Oaks Lodge (retirement home) in Vita, semi-public water system, advisory cause
not stated. A previously issued BWA to Strathclair public water system was lifted.
