Québec Advisory Map

In Québec, A BWA (Boil Water Advisory) has been issued to the Town of Amos; this is the 3rd such advisory issued. The exact cause of these advisories is not stated however on the town website, it does state that further water quality analysis is being conducted. It also informs residents that the mayor will be holding a meeting today (Oct 4) to provide an update on the current water situation.

In the municipality of Rouyn-Noranda, a partial BWA was issued due to an electrical break. This advisory follows another issued the previous day in another sector of the community, due to reservoir maintenance or repairs. A BWA has also been issued to the Marché du Lac Long (grocery/market) in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts; the advisory reason was not stated. Previously issued BWAs in the municipalities of Saint-Constant and Sainte-Adèle have been rescinded.


Ontario Advisory Map

In Ontario, the Grey Bruce Public Health Unit has issued a SDWS (Small Drinking Water System) precautionary advisory to Community Living Owen Sound.

The Durham Region website provides notification that "October 10 has been proclaimed as Imagine a Day Without Water. The campaign is part of a nationwide day of education and advocacy to recognize the true value of water. Organized by The Value of Water Coalition, the campaign aims to raise awareness about the challenges we face when our water infrastructure fails, and to highlight the innovative solutions to these challenges that are being implemented in communities nationwide."


Newfoundland Advisory Map

In Newfoundland, a BWA was issued to Trout River (Feeder Brook) due to distribution system maintenance or repairs.


British Columbia Advisory Map

In British Columbia, a BWN (Boil Water Notice) was issued to Camp Potlach Water System (Squamish) due to non compliance with potable water quality standards, and insufficient water treatment. Previously issued BWNs to Pritchard Water Service (Thompson-Nicola Regional District) and Upper Fintry-Shalal Rd-Valley of the Sun Water System (Regional District Central Okanagan) were rescinded.


Saskatchewan Advisory Map

In Saskatchewan, although no new advisories were issued since yesterday, a number have been lifted, including those to the Village of Conquest, the Town of Leader (there remains another PDWA in effect in Leader), Town of Naicam, Town of Nokomis, Northern Hamlet of Weyakwin, and the Town of Strasbourg.


Nunavut Advisory Map

In Nunavut, a previously issued partial BWA in Rankin Inlet has been lifted.


Manitoba Advisory Map

In Manitoba, a BWA was issued to Victoria Beach Public Water System. This advisory has been categorized as long-term.
