In Newfoundland, BWAs (Boil Water Advisories) were issued to Caplin Cove (Southport Pond) due to the water system not having
a disinfection system, Meadows (Meaters Pond) due to the distribution system undergoing maintenance or repairs, and to Elliston (Big Pond)
due to water entering the distribution system and after a minimum 20 minute contact time lacking a free chlorine residual of at least
0.3 mg/l or equivalent CT value. Advance notice of a partial BWA was issued in Corner Brook due to Capital Works improvements to the
distribution system; the advisory will be in effect tomorrow (Oct 11).

of Pleasantdale, the cause of which was not specified except with the general statement that the safety of the drinking water
supply "can not be ensured at all times."
