WATER ADVISORY WRAP-UP

Newfoundland Advisory Map
In Newfoundland, 3 BWAs have been issued to Trinity Bay North (Whirl Pond) due to water entering the distribution system and after
a minimum 20 minute contact time, lacking free chlorine residual of at least 0.3 mg/l or equivalent CT value. The areas serviced by the
3 BWAs are: Little Catalina; Melrose; Port Union (Catalina and Little Catalina). A BWA was issued to
Heart's Delight-Islington (Long Pond) due to the absence of free chlorine residual detected in the water distribution system.
In Port Saunders, a BWA was issued to Tom Taylor's Pond due to the distribution system undergoing maintenance or repairs.
Saskatchewan Advisory Map
In Saskatchewan,PDWAs (Precautionary Drinking Water Advisories) were issued to the Village of Avonlea due to depressurization
caused by a water main break, to the Hamlet of Kelfield Water Supply due to inadequate disinfection in the distribution system, and to
one block in the Town of Strasbourg due to depressurization from a water main repair.
Québec Advisory Map
In Québec, preventive Boil Water Advisories (BWA) have been issued in the municipalities of Saint-Eustache, Saint-Elzear
and Saint-Faustin-Lac-Carré. The previously issued BWA in the Hull sector of the City of Gatineau has been rescinded, as have
previously issued advisories in Saint-Lambert, Chambly and the Barnston sector of Coaticook.
Alberta Advisory Map
In Alberta, a precautionary BWA was issued by Alberta Health Services to the Town of Milk River due to unspecified water system problems.
British Columbia Advisory Map
In British Columbia, according to news reports, a break-in occured at a reservoir in Trail over the weekend. Officials have not
found any signs of tampering and have not issued any boil water notices however residents of the affected neighbourhood have been asked to
use alternate water sources for the time being, while the municipal water is being tested.
