WATER ADVISORY WRAP-UP

Saskatchewan Advisory Map
In Saskatchewan, 3 PDWAs have been issued in Gravelbourg due to treatment being unable to cope with significant
deterioration in source water quality. The 3 advisories are for the Town of Gravelbourg, the Gravelbourg Water Treatment Plant, and
Wood River Utility Board - Gravelbourg NW Pipeline. PDWAs were also issued to Echo Valley Provincial Park due to seasonal
startup of the waterworks, Village of Medstead due to a power outage, Meeting Lake Provincial Park, also due to a power
outage, Town of Nokomis due to high turbidity, and to Thomson Lake Regional Park due to treatment being unable to cope with
significant deterioration in source water quality. A PDWA was issued to Allan South Rural Water Utility-Bradwell Line, due
to a power outage. There is a previously issued PDWA (from Aug 2019) still in effect for the Allan South Bradwell Line, which
was issued to a portion of users due to chlorine levels below the regulatory limit.
Newfoundland and Labrador Advisory Map
In Newfoundland and Labrador, a BWA was issued to Roddicton-Bide Arm-First Clay Cove Pond due to E. Coli having been
detected, with repeat samples unable to be taken as required.
Québec Advisory Map
In Québec, a BWA was issued to a number of merchants in the Trois-Rivières West sector of Trois-Rivières
due to a water main break. A Provincial Government BWA was issued to the Saint-Elzéar-de-Bonaventure municipal distribution system, reason not
provided. A previously issued BWA was lifted in Sainte-Elisabeth. This morning in Pincourt, water was shut off to a portion
of one street due to a broken water conduit. No drinking water advisory has yet been issued.
British Columbia Advisory Map
In British Columbia, a BWN was issued by Northern Health Authority, to Canfor-Northwood Pulp Mill Water System #1.
(Prince George). The exact nature of the problem has not yet been determined however the operator has cited stagnant water
due to operation curtailment, ineffective filtration system as well as other issues. Investigation into the cause is ongoing.
Manitoba Advisory Map
In Manitoba, previously issued BWAs have been lifted for Shorepoint Village public water system, Pinawa public water
system, Wasagamuck Northern Store, semi-public system, and Shady Oaks Lodge semi-public system.
Ontario Advisory Map
In Ontario, the Township of Terrace Bay advised residents on Friday, May 1, that water flows out of Hays Lake
Dam increased to 25cms. It was further stated that the flows would possibly be higher by today (May 4), therefore residents
should "exercise caution" if around the Aguasabon River or Terrace Bay Beach area.
