Alberta Advisory Map
In Alberta, the most recent update regarding the flooding situation in Fort McMurray is that the Boil Water Advisory will
remain in effect for several months due to the extensive work which lies ahead, more specifically, the flushing, disinfection and
testing of the Water Treatment Plant as well as the complete 375-kilometer potable water distribution system. According to RMWB (Regional
Municipality of Wood Buffalo): "The advisory does not apply to the communities of Conklin, Fort Chipewyan, Fort Fitzgerald,
Fort McKay, and Janvier. Residents in Gregoire Lake Estates and Anzac who use water tanks with trucked water from the Conklin
Water Treatment Plant are also not affected. The advisory does apply to all neighbourhoods in Fort McMurray, Anzac, Draper,
Gregoire Lake Estates, and Saprae Creek Estates." Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) in conjunction with Alberta Health Services
has issued a BWA to Fort McMurray-Gregoire Lake First Nation Public Water System (truckfill only). ISC also issued 2 BWAs to Tallcree
First Nation which is probably due to the flooding as one of the issued BWAs is for the Fort Vermilion public water
system while the other is for North Tallcree public water system.
In southeast rural Strathcona County, a water outage applies to the area east of Range Road 220 and south of Hwy 16, due to a
water main break on the Highway 14 Regional Water Commission line. A water ban is in effect for Antler Lake and Collingwood Cove
hamlets.
A previously issued partial BWA in Red Deer was lifted.

following work on the aqueduct. The advisories are expected to last no longer than one hour. Residents are being advised to let
the water run a minimum 30 minutes after the work is complete. The 3 advisories will be in effect tomorrow, May 6.
